A cramped kitchen where you can barely open the fridge? Classic Bay Area problem. (Because why wouldn’t a million-dollar home come with a kitchen the size of a walk-in closet?) This retired couple had the same struggle, so we gave their space a P-shaped layout, ditched useless cabinets, and expanded the countertops. Now, they’ve got room to cook, entertain, and actually move around without bumping into each other.

This bright, open kitchen used to be a dark, cramped hallway with a stove. We removed a load-bearing wall and engineered an “invisible” roof support (because roofs like staying up). Now, our client has a kitchen big enough for brunches, dinner parties, and probably a startup pitch or two.
